Five Favorite Slow Cooker Recipes for Fall

Good Morning!

Lately I have been ALL about the slow cooker. As time gets less and less available and I’m feeling more and more stretched thin, my slow cooker saves the day a lot. With some planning, dinner is ready when I get home and it’s awesome.

Now that the weather is getting cooler, all I want is warm and comforting food. So, I gathered up some of my go-to slow cooker recipes for Fall to have on hand. These meals are all comforting yet I feel good about feeding them to my family.  I thought I would share my list with you today!

Easy and Healthy Classic Chili

Good Morning!

When I turned thirty, I decided to end my on again, off again relationship with dieting. My goal is to just eat vs constantly thinking about what I’m eating, how much I’m eating, etc. My body is smart, capable and I am slowly learning to trust it instead of trying to control and restrict it.

I have tried many diets and once upon a time I did Weight Watchers. From the diet I learned about portion control and how to let go of trying to remove certain foods from my diet. Both good lessons but one awesome thing I gained from doing Weight Watchers was my go-to Chili recipe. Over the years I’ve modified the recipe to be my own and also no longer consider it a “diet” recipe but just a recipe I enjoy. [Read more…]

Things I’m Enjoying Lately: July 2016

Good Evening!

How is your week going? It’s been a chaotic week over here, but we’re making it. My week started off with a visit the new-ish Chicago Google office and dinner at the new-ish Swift and Sons on Monday night. I signed the documents to close on my childhood home today and this evening at our home we’re finalizing our project plan with our contractor so things are about to get hectic. However, compared to the past few months it seems like things are calming down and we are starting to be able to slow down and enjoy summer.

Today I thought I would stop in and share some things I’m enjoying lately. I’m hoping to make these posts a monthly thing since I constantly have a running list of things I want to share with you all.
