My Meal Planning “Formula”

With my return-to-work countdown down to only six days, I’m using this week to practice and tweak my routines. We’re still working on the morning routine but the evening routine has been hashed out.

One thing I’ve realized though with our evenings is that dinners have to be organized, quick and easy! I’ll have about 30 minutes to get dinner on the table, so meal planning is going to be key!

Freezer Stock Up: Round Two

Good Morning!

Well, we made it through the weekend with no signs of this baby arriving! Instead we enjoyed having a wide-open weekend and I made a few more meals to round out our freezer stash. In case you missed it, here’s what I made during round one.

I’m happy to say that after a stock-up trip to the grocery store over the weekend we’re ready for baby and besides maybe a few things here and there, we’re pretty much ready to go with meals for the next month! I’ll be sharing our first-month-at-home-with-baby meal plan next week!

Freezer Stock Up: Round One

Good Morning!

As we get closer and closer to my due date (I’m 37 weeks today!), I am still feeling the urge to get as prepared as possible. One of the things at the top of my list is meal prep- Mama’s gotta eat!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon in the kitchen making a round of freezer meals. If I have the energy and time to do another round or two before the baby arrives I’m going to go for it, but for now I’m resting up after a whirlwind day!

My Updated Meal Planning Process & Comfort Co Giveaway

Three years ago, I shared my meal planning process and have been diligently meal planning ever since. I still do all of those things, but over the past few years I’ve tweaked my process to make it realistic to our life and am now proud to say we rarely waste food.

Meals and Workouts 3/1-3/7

Good Morning!

It’s been a nice and balanced weekend! Friday night I had Book Club and Saturday I spent the day with my friend Cassie. We went to a steamy #Sweatworking class and refueled at RJ Grunts, home of the first salad bar, with salads and burgers. Today’s going to be a lazy day in my pajamas with some Sunday things thrown into the mix. We’ve got Bolognese simmering in the crock pot and it’s going to be a delicious day!

Meals and Workouts 2/22-2/28

Good Afternoon!

This weekend has been a good one where the few precious days somehow end up being busy but not too busy, fun but not too tiring and productive but also relaxing. Today Rich and I started the day with donuts and I’ve spent the past several hours getting myself addicted to Rehab Addict on HGTV. I’m still in my pajamas and I do not plan on changing anything but the channel to watch the Oscars.
