I hope you had a great weekend! Ours was simple, in a good way. We filled our time with house projects, prep for the week ahead, time outside and an outing to our local hot dog stand for a fun Friday night dinner.
Historically, this time of year has always been a season of change for me. My Birthday typically fell within days of the first day of school and it’s always inspired me to start fresh.
I’ve done a lot of soul searching the past several months. This summer started off with a simple bucket list, hoping for a slow season but life had other plans. If feels as if this week is the final push towards getting our life back to normal after a hectic summer.
This summer I’ve also spent a lot of time thinking about this blog. Life gets busy and sometimes I’ve felt guilty about not blogging as much. For the past few months, I’ve scaled back to one post per week while I figure things out and I’m happy to I have found new motivation to pick back up.
Over the years, this blog has served me well. It’s been with me through training for my first full marathon, marrying my other half and was there to help me wrap my hands around motherhood. You see, the puns are never ending. 🙂
So what to blog about?
I want this blog to be a space where I’m reminded of my priorities. I’ve always tried to reflect reality on the blog, and I’ve spent a lot of time considering how much I share about my family since having a child. I think that I’ve found a place that I’m comfortable with now and I’m grateful to have a space to share my story.
I have been craving simplicity lately and have scaled back on the things I do overall. Through this process, I’m happy to have found my priorities- my health, my family, my friends, my career and travel.
My life is full- not busy because I prioritize what matters to me.
A full life is one where you are content with your life because it aligns with your priorities.
Moving forward, my goal is to write about how I make time for my priorities. I want to share my story to help others who may be going through the same thing and to help keep me focused on what matters. You’ll continue to see posts on motherhood, career, marriage and friendship, wellness and our adventures as a family.
You’ll see some new things on the blog in a few weeks. My content will focus on my main key areas and my goal is to provide helpful content for others. On Wednesday’s you’ll see a new series “My Full Life” which will feature other working mothers. On Monday you’ll continue to see one post per week from me.
