It’s been awhile since I’ve regularly checked in on here to hold myself accountable and I have definitely missed it. While I’ve been in the habit of using Friday’s to map out the upcoming week, I haven’t been sharing.
As I’ve mentioned in Wednesday’s post, we’ve found a good groove and a healthy balance in our lives. Both Rich and I have been losing weight and feel awesome. In order to stay that way, I’ve decided to hold myself accountable by posting a round-up of the week on Friday’s and using the post to also map out the upcoming week. So here we go!
This week I did some food prep which made the week a bit easier. We stuck to our meal plan for the most part but did treat ourselves to takeout buffalo wings and a beer on Tuesday night. It had been a few weeks since we ordered takeout which I was proud of and I totally enjoyed our “cheat” meal.
Here’s our plan for the upcoming week.
Apples and Cheese, Watermelon and Cottage Cheese, Turkey and Cheese, Cashews
Sunday- Family Birthday Pizza (and I’m making this ice cream cake)
Monday- Pesto Chicken and Summer Squash Skewers with Rice Pilaf
Tuesday- The Best Fajitas You’ll Ever Have
Wednesday- Chicken, Asparagus and Lemon Stir Fry with Brown Rice
Thursday- Greens, Eggs and Bread
Friday- Dinner with our friends Martin, Becki and their baby Lucy
Saturday- Wing It
I’ve been religious about my twice per week strength sessions with my trainer and have been loving how I feel. I’m getting a lot stronger and the workouts are always super challenging and satisfying. This past week I fit in two walks and my goal next week is to fit in four!
This past week was fairly quiet which was good. We transitioned Buel into the big bathtub which was fun! Tonight Rich and I are going on a date for his Birthday and we are both so excited!
