Good Morning and Happy Friday!
There are a lot of fun events happening this weekend, so I thought I would share!
The 10th Annual Good Food Festival starts today and I’m looking forward to celebrating locally produced food at the Localicious Party tomorrow night! There are also some awesome speakers, DIY classes and chef demonstrations happening on Saturday which I am very excited about.
Sunday through Friday, Chicago Chef Week will be offering prix fix menus for $22 for lunch and for $44 dinner. There are some great restaurants on the list and I’m looking forward to checking out Tanta next week.
The Windy City Blogger Collective’s Blogging 101 Series continues on Sunday with their “Mastering Social Media” class. I learned a lot at their class last month and I would highly recommend attending.
Despite the fact that the river is much more cold than normal, the annual dying of the Chicago River will be happening on Saturday morning! The debauchery will continue throughout the city and my advice is this: just go to a bar. You will see green and lots of stumbling but that’s part of the fun of this tradition.
Last but not least, this week Flywheel launched an app! In case you haven’t noticed, I am obsessed with taking their spin classes and attend at least once a week. The app lets you book classes, view your statistics and has a new feature where you can see how you rank within all the participants in class. In the past you could only see those who chose to participate in the TorqBoard, but this takes it to another level. You can learn more and download it here.
This weekend I’ll be attending the Good Food Festival’s Localicious Party on Friday night and a session on Saturday if I can swing it, an Irish wedding on Saturday night, continuing our obedience classes with Penny on Sunday and making (clean) Corned Beef & Cabbage on Sunday.
What are you up to this weekend? Any fun events I’m missing out on? What’s your favorite St. Patrick’s Day memory?
