Workout Recap 3/3-3/9 and Meal Plan 3/9-3/15

Good Morning!

It’s been a really fun, relaxing weekend and I can’t wait to share a few of the fun events I attended. Besides those, we had two nights in relaxing and I tried to catch up on sleep and fit in a few good workouts. We’re off to obedience school in a few minutes, but first I thought I would check in to say hi and recap my week.

Today, I’m starting a juice cleanse! After reading many reviews on the Peeled three-day cleanse, I bought the Groupon and picked up my juices yesterday. My reason for doing a cleanse is simply because I need a reset- I’ve been lacking energy lately, craving sweets and just had a lot of medication pass through my body during surgery. I know it’s not going to be an easy three days, but I’m looking forward to feeling the benefits.

Workout Recap:
This week I really found my groove with workouts. I completed three “runs” following the Couch to 5k week one, did this strength workout twice and did a 60 minute spin class yesterday. In my perfect week I would’ve made it to a yoga class, but I plan on going tomorrow and Tuesday as a part of my cleanse.

Now for this week’s meal plan!

Breakfast:
For me- Juice Sunday-Monday, Avocado Toast & Peanut Butter Banana Toast (on Great Harvest Honey Whole Wheat bread since it’s clean)
Rich- Homemade breakfast burritos and Waffles in the freezer ready to go

How was your weekend? How were your workouts? What’s on the table this week (since I won’t be eating real food for the next three days I would like to live vicariously)?

Comments

  1. Good luck with the juice cleanse! They get really mental at the end of day 2 so stay focused and you’ll do great! And I can’t wait to hear how you like the curry stew – it’ll be perfect to have coming off of a cleanse :)

    • My thoughts exactly on the curry! And I’m pretty determined, so hopefully that’ll help me. I’m taking this as an opportunity to relax and do yoga and read and give my body a break in all areas!

  2. How ar you liking the juice cleanse? I did it once and almost starved. Not sure if I want to do it again.

    • So far so good, but I hear day two is the hardest! So far I’m not hungry, it seems like all my cravings are mental. Wish me luck!

  3. Can’t wait to hear about your experience! Depending on how it goes, I may snatch up that Groupon too!

  4. I’ve always been curious about doing a juice cleanse but I get so crabby when I’m hungry that I fear being a scary teacher if I try doing it during the week! :) maybe if you give it the Katie stamp of approval I’ll finally attempt one!

  5. That Red Thai Curry Stew sounds good!

  6. Week recap… Bad week. Mistakes made, lessons learned, moving on to better things. :)
