Wow, can you believe it’s already October!?!? This year is flying by, but it’s been a good year so far. I’m excited for Fall and even did a bit of decorating this weekend to get in the sprit of the season.
This October, I have an interesting goal to share with you all, but first, let’s see how my September shook out.
In September, my goals were the following:
-Enjoy our trip and take lots of pictures!- our trip was unbelievable and I took a ton of pictures. I hope you enjoyed my recaps!
-Use our trip as a renewal for every day life. My goal is to enjoy every moment, stay active, eat good food and get lots of rest!- Goal accomplished! The trip was a total renewal and much needed. I came home refreshed, motivated and inspired.
-Come back and return to triathlon training and finish strong. I’ll have three weeks left when we return.-I struggled a bit getting back to the swing of things but once I did I finish strong. As long as my neck holds up for Saturday I’m going to rock the triathlon!
-Get back to the swing of meal planning and budgeting when we return.- Yes, we didn’t miss a beat here and I’m proud of that.
Now, to introduce my October goal and invite you to join in to hold ourselves accountable!
My goal for October is simple: to stay off the scale for 31 days. I’m asking you to join me!
Why stay off the scale for an entire month?
-Because we are more than just a number on the scale
-Because a number on a scale should not dictate how much you eat that day or what workout you do
-Because your body knows what it wants to eat and if you honor those cravings you are honoring your body
-Because there are so many more benefits to exercise than the calories you burn
-Because in the end, it really is just a number!
Why am I doing this? Simply put, I’m sick of the scale owning me. While on my vacation, I enjoyed what I wanted to eat and stayed active in fun ways. This inspired me to treat my body this way on a permanent basis and this journey begins with a month long break from the scale.
If you would like to join in, simply comment below to let me know you’ll be joining and write a recap at the end of the month. I’ll post a link-up on October 31st so we can all share our experiences. I hope you’ll join me!
