Workouts 1/27-2/1, Meal Plan 2/3-2/9 and Other Things

Before I do my weekly recaps, I wanted to share a few exciting things I received in the mail this weekend!

valentine partner

First, I got my gift from the Valentine Blogging Party from Amy! She noticed that I diligently post my workout recaps and meal plans so she made sure to send along some notepads for me. So cute!

100 days

We also received our completion package for the 100 Days of Real Food 10 Day Pledge! The hand signed letter was extra encouraging and reminded me of all the benefits I received from the challenge. It’s given me encouragement to continue down the clean eating path!

Now for the recaps!

This week, workouts took a backseat as I tried to figure out what was wrong with me. Now that I know what the issue is, I’m excited to get back into my workouts this week.

comfort

The weekend I took care of myself and did as little as possible. The only time I left my house was to get my hair cut and colored but other than that I was at home resting. I took a few bubble baths, read a lot, drank a lot of tea, ate a lot of comfort food and iced, heated and medicated my back. It’s starting to feel slightly better!

Meal Plan wise, I’m also a little lax for the upcoming week. It’s going to be a busy week filled with a few dinner’s out because it’s Chicago Restaurant Week! Tomorrow night I’m meeting up with my old college roommate for dinner at Sunda. Saturday night, Rich and I have dinner reservations at The Bedford!

Breakfast
Bringing the Easy Oatmeal Bake back!

Other than that we’ll be eating leftover fajitas and penne, making eggs or quick dinners and winging it!

Comments

  1. MMM – you keep heading out to awesome places! I also have had the Bedford on my list. I’ve been there for drinks… they made an awesome boozy milkshake!

I need to try your Baked Oatmeal. It sounds amazing!

    • Try the oatmeal! It is SO great to have on hand!

You should try to get to The Bedford this week! Their menu is really good for RW!

  2. I love kettle corn popcorn. I bought a box of minis – the green box from Orville.

I worked on Superbowl and am not much of a football fan. I did partake in lamb sliders that were on sale!

  3. Sunda is so amazing! I love restaurant week :) .
